The research you’re reading answers to
someone else.

Broker research earns from transactions. Corporate-sponsored research earns from mandates. Ours earns from your subscription fee — and nothing else. No conflict. No pressure to skew the view. Independent equity research with a CA + CFA lens and full SEBI disclosure.

Next: two consent boxes and a 6-digit code to verify the address. No card, and nothing renews.

Before you commit to anything

Three steps, and the money is the last one.

Subscribing to research sounds like handing over a card and hoping. It is not how this works, and the order of events is the part worth knowing first.

  1. You choose a plan

Pick the depth you want and tell us. Nothing is charged at this point, and no card is held — choosing is not buying.

  2. KYC, then the agreement

Identity verification, then the Research Services Agreement, signed with Aadhaar eSign. The fee is payable after both are done, never before.

  3. Your portal opens

Research is published into your client portal, and every subscriber of that plan receives the same note at the same moment. Nothing is written for one reader's holdings.

This is investment research, not investment advice. We do not review your holdings, size your positions, or tell you what to buy given your circumstances.

Where to start

Free to start. Deeper when you need it.

What each tier includes comes straight from the plan register — the same source /pricing and /services read, so no page can describe a product the others do not sell.

SEBI fee ceiling: ₹1,51,000 per annum for individual & HUF clients, excluding GST. KYC and a signed agreement are completed before any payment — nothing is charged on day one. Accredited investors and non-individual clients are served under Meridian, where work is scoped per mandate. Signal's own premium desk reporting is metered separately — see what is in Signal.

So read one first

Nobody should buy research they have never read.

A complete Desvelado note, in the format every one of them follows: the view, the levels, the horizon, what would invalidate the thesis, the risks specific to the idea, and the full disclosure block. Nothing is summarised for the website.

Specimen. Meridian Industrials Ltd is a fictional company — it is not listed, and this is not a recommendation to buy or sell anything. It exists to show what a Desvelado report contains.

The view

Capacity utilisation crossed 82% in the September quarter against 71% a year earlier, and the incremental volume is landing at a materially better gross margin because the new line runs on contracted gas rather than spot. Working capital has been the historical complaint: receivable days fell from 96 to 71 across four quarters and the improvement is visible in the cash flow statement, not only in the ratio. We value the business at 18x FY28 earnings, a discount to the larger listed peer, on the view that the margin gain holds for at least six more quarters.

What would make us wrong

Two things would break this view. First, gas contracted at the current rate expires in FY28 — a renewal materially above it removes most of the margin gain and we would step aside rather than wait. Second, receivable days rising back above 85 for two consecutive quarters would tell us the working-capital improvement was a channel-stuffing artefact and not a change in how the business is run.

Risks specific to this idea

  • Single-plant concentration — an outage at the primary facility affects roughly 70% of volume.
  • Input cost is contracted, not hedged. The contract is a fixed price with a counterparty, so it carries counterparty risk rather than price risk.
  • Promoter holding is pledged to the extent of 11%. A margin call at the promoter level is a price event unrelated to the operating business.
  • Liquidity — median daily traded value supports the stated horizon but not an intraday exit.

Why independence matters

Broker research answers to the broker.
Ours answers to you.

When a firm earns from transactions, their research tilts toward generating them. We earn only from your subscription fee — so our only job is to be right.

Our only income is your fee

We earn nothing from brokerages, corporate mandates or distribution commissions. No conflict means no pressure to skew the view.

Every report, fully disclosed

Analyst holdings, conflicts, rating methodology and price-target basis disclosed in every report — as required by SEBI regulations.

CA + CFA lens

Forensic accounting rigour, cash-flow quality analysis and valuation depth — from a CA & CFA candidate background.

Clarity over data dumps

We write for the reader who wants a decision framework: what matters, why it matters, and what to do with it.

The person behind the research

CA Danish Aggarwal — built this
because the research he wanted to read didn't exist.

A Chartered Accountant and CFA Program candidate who spent years at the intersection of financial analysis and markets — equity research, derivatives and forensic accounting. He started Desvelado because every analysis he found was either conflicted, vague or too late. He also built the technology: Signal, DRIP and the 24/7 broadcast channel — all in-house, from scratch.

Technology

The tools we needed didn't exist. So we built them.

Every stage from exchange filing to published note runs on software built here — extraction, drafting, analyst review, and delivery to the newsroom, the portal and a self-hosted 24/7 channel. We built it because the alternative was generic.

Before you go further

The three things people ask first.

Is Desvelado SEBI registered?+

Yes. Desvelado is a SEBI-registered Research Analyst under Reg. No. INH000028723, registered under the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014, and enlisted with RAASB (operated by BSE Limited) under Enlistment No. 7338. You can verify the registration on SEBI's public register.

What is the difference between Vantage and Meridian?+

Vantage is for individual and HUF clients — standardised annual subscriptions priced inside the SEBI fee ceiling. Meridian is for accredited investors holding a valid accreditation certificate and for non-individual entities (companies, LLPs, trusts, AIFs, PMS, family offices) — fixed annual retainers, bespoke per mandate. Meridian fees may sit above the retail ceiling only once the accreditation certificate or entity documents are on file.

Do you charge a share of my profits?+

No, and we are not permitted to. Fees are fixed and are never performance-linked or profit-sharing. We also never execute trades, hold client funds or securities, or ask for trading, demat or bank credentials or OTPs.

The market, without the noise.

What we published, what actually moved, and what it means — roughly weekly, and never more than once a week. It is market commentary and general information: not research output, not a recommendation on any security, and not advice tailored to you.
